Written for fic_promptly on dreamwidth, the prompt being "clearing up the mess from the night before". I honestly had no idea what to title this so you get... whatever that title is idk
Husk stared at the hole in the ceiling. “Well that’s a new one,” he muttered as Lucifer stepped back into the bedroom.
“What is?” He asked, following Husk’s line of sight. “Eh, it happens.” He shrugged.
Husk squinted at him. “I can’t say I’ve ever blown a hole in the ceiling when I’ve had sex before.” He raised an eyebrow. “How often does it happen to you ?”
Lucifer took several seconds to answer, clearly having to think it over. “Well, just about every time I have sex with Satan, he burns down most of whatever room we’re in. Asmodius likes to get adventurous and Beelzebub-”
Husk held up a hand in front of him, making Lucifer pause. “Alright, Sins get freaky. Got it.” Judging by the grin on Lucifer’s face, he didn’t want to know just how freaky. “We still need to clean this place up.”
“I can just use my-”
Husk cut him off again. “Do that for the ceiling, skip the rest.”
Lucifer gave him an odd look. “Why would I do that when I can just use magic?”
“Cus I get the feeling you haven’t actually cleaned up after yourself without magic in a longass time.” He wasn’t going to just readily admit that he found a certain level of intimacy in cleaning the mess you’ve made in the bedroom together.
Besides, he knew he was right when Lucifer averted his eyes, looking anywhere but at him. “Well…” Lucifer snapped his fingers, the ceiling just as new in the blink of an eye. “Alright, no more magic for…however long this takes,” he said. “I don’t have a hamper, though, so we’ll have to carry any laundry in our arms.”
Damn, he really had been spot on about Lucifer’s reliance on magic.
“That’s fine.” He moved to the side of the bed, pulling the duvet off the bed, throwing it on the armchair in the corner. Feathers rained onto the floor as he did. “Get the sheet while I get the pillows,” he said, Lucifer sliding up to the bed to do as asked.
He stared down at the sheet. “If I can’t use my magic we’re gonna have to throw all this away,” he said as he pulled the sheet off, holding it up. There were several tears in it, two that had sliced into it close enough to each other that a big, gaping, triangular hole was left in it. He looked at Husk right through it.
“I guess we are,” Husk said as he pulled one of the pillow cases off the pillows. He was instantly showered with feathers, having missed the big hole in its center. He blew off a feather that landed on his nose. “We should get you pool noodles for those horns.”
Lucifer laughed as he sauntered over, plucking a couple of feathers out of Husk’s hair. “And miss you looking like this? Never.” He leaned in to press a kiss to Husk’s lips. “As funny as the image is.”
Husk huffed, a small smile on his lips as Lucifer pulled back. “I guess you’re gonna have to get used to cleaning up then.”
Lucifer let out a dramatic gasp. “You’re making me clean without my magic again ? Say it ain’t so!” He broke down in laughter, before taking a few seconds to gather himself again. “Unless we make too big of a mess, I think I’ll manage.”
Husk rolled his eyes at Lucifer’s dramatics, even as he snickered to himself. “Good.” He looked down at the mattress, which had obvious tears in it, lining up perfectly with the tears in the sheets. “Now help me flip this over so we can see if at least the mattress’s salvageable.”
He could tell that Lucifer had to stop himself from doing so with his magic, but he managed to stop himself just before the snap of his fingers.
The mattress was big and heavy, but together they managed to flip it over (Lucifer was a lot stronger than he looked, but his fight with Adam had already proved that, so Husk wasn’t surprised).
Then, they turned to the mess made of torn pillows and blankets all around them. Cleanup would take quite a while longer.
They had a mountain of feathers to clean up.
