“Hey, I’m hungry, wanna get something to eat? I’m kinda feeling like something fried.”

Baby glanced up at Zoey from his phone before tapping something on his screen, face blank. “No thanks, human food is like cotton to me.”

Zoey furrowed her brows. “I have no idea what that means.”

“It might taste good but it has no nutritional value.”

“Taste g-” Eyes snapping up to stare at him, Zoey didn’t know what to say for a moment. “Y…you know you’re not supposed to eat cotton, right?”

The silence stretched on, Baby unblinking.

“You're not eating cotton, right?” At the deadpan look on his face, she started to sweat, fighting the urge to grab his arm and shake him “Right?”

As she stressed, Baby popped another lollipop in his mouth, the raising of an eyebrow the closest to a reaction she would get.
